This style is part of the 1955 Heritage Collection, where Italian craftsmanship meets place-driven storytelling. Salsedine is the first frame dedicated to Maratea, the jewel of the Tyrrhenian coast, produced in a strictly limited edition of only 50 pieces worldwide.
Inspired by the wild beauty of Basilicata’s rugged coastline — where mountains and hills plunge dramatically into the sea — Salsedine captures the spirit of Thea Maris, the ancient “Goddess of the Sea” that once defined the region’s myth and landscape. Each frame reflects the salt-air clarity, natural intensity, and timeless character of Maratea.
Handcrafted in premium Mazzucchelli Italian acetate, Salsedine blends sculptural design with refined comfort. Like all frames in the 1955 Heritage Collection, it is prescription-ready, seamlessly combining luxury design with optical functionality.
